Audition Tips

7 Ballet Audition Tips

1. Arrive early as you can. About an hour before so you can be vary warm and just in cace something goes wrong you’ll be on time

2. Clean your bag for a clean head. Keep the essentials Because you are going to have to quickly have to change in to pointe shoes. And with a clean bag you don’t need to take forever to find it.

3. Put your phone away! Don’t be texting someone that is taking your focus away from ballet and your stretching

4. Get your class time in. Make sure you are fully prepared by taking all of your classes so you’ll be strong, stretched and ready.

5. Don’t mark! The teacher wants to know what you can do and not do, so show it. The chances are she/he could be looking at another dancer when you’re doing the combination full out.

6. Don’t over do it. If you see a girl that jumps higher and is more flexible don’t hurt your self to get your leg by your ear.

7. Take a deep breath. Say a prayer. Visualize a great class. What ever floats your boat. I like to think there is no such thing as luck or coincidence; you create your luck.

ENJOY! Have FUN! Remember: You’re dancing…enjoy the process!
